Our mission for you

Build and scale our utility back-end and energy analytics solutions

You will help drive our Backend Engineering efforts towards three building blocks:

• Energy management dashboard that helps our B2B customers reduce and shift expensive load peaks, buy directly from wind & solar assets and manage the energy portfolio.
• AI-based procurement optimization engine that balances the energy account on a recurring basis (prediction of energy supply, energy demand and resulting residuals).
• Energy trading software that is able to operate energy management processes from buying & selling energy, integrating other software providers in the energy market up to billing and invoicing our customers.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop and fuel machine learning algorithms with high-quality data to serve our energy-trading-software and energy analytics dashboard in collaboration with our data scientists (mostly Python).
• Own our backend services centered around our energy data model and energy data processing services (Python, PostgreSQL).
• Expand and maintain a scalable DevOps infrastructure architecture (mostly Terraform, AWS, Docker).
• Thrive for test-driven development, ensuring precise numerical accuracy through comprehensive test coverage of core code units as well as data quality orchestration.
• Lead the design, enhancement, and optimization of our software architecture to ensure scalability, efficiency, and maintainability.

Who we are looking for

• Strong technical background in software engineering and architecture
• Extensive experience in the development of Python-powered backend applications and enjoy implementing features end-to-end (from frontend data exposure to backend)
• Strong skills in ideating, building, launching, and scaling software as a service tools, strong proficiency with our tech stack
